JP365 - Zürich Flughafen (ZRH) to Ljubljana (LJU)

Pre Flight Information At the Zürich Flughafen (Klöten), I was transferring from a Delta Air Lines flight to this flight, operated by Adria Airways.

I had purchased the ticket through Travelocity, but made a mistake in the booking.  Instead of booking this particular flight, I had booked the late evening departure.  By taking the originally scheduled flight, I would have reduced my visit to Slovenia by one full day.  I attempted to change the ticket through Travelocity, but they told me that it would cost at least USD300.  I thought that I would take my chances and attempt to stand-by once I got to Zürich.

The airport operating company (Unique) handles ground services for the airline, so I was able to inquire at the transfer desk about my stand-by request.  After a phone call to the airline's representative, the agent was able to book me on the earlier flight for a fee of only €46, a far better deal than Travelocity was offering.

I proceeded to the departure gate, which was located in the temporary Terminal C.  This terminal is basically a tent with several departure gates.  The gates lead to buses that then transport passengers to the waiting aircraft.  There were a number of departures, including flights to Istanbul, London and Munich.

Service Information Quite uniquely for regional jet, there were two classes on this aircraft: Business Class and Economy Class.  The Business Class seating, which was separated from the main cabin by a movable curtain, did not offer an additional amenities.

A breakfast was served on board, which consisted of a cheese sandwich, apple juice and the choice of coffee or tea.  The apple juice was served in a drink box, while the coffee/tea choice was offered by the cabin attendant.

Duty-free items were available for purchase.  The inflight magazine, Adria, is published quarterly and was printed in Slovene and English.  It appears to be a high-quality magazine.  I grabbed two "barf-bags" for Michael's collection.

JP364 - Ljubljana (LJU) to Zürich Flughafen (ZRH)

Pre Flight Information Adria Airways provides a shuttle bus service from central Ljubljana to the airport in Brnik.  It costs SIT 1000, which is a bargain compared to the average taxi fare of SIT 5000.  I caught the earliest shuttle service, which departed the central bus station at 06.15, which got me to the airport by 06.40.  The air terminal, as it is known, is shown below.

I checked-in for the flight at the Adria Airways counter.  The airline is the predominant carrier here, so most of the facilities were being used to check-in passengers for Adria's early morning departure bank.

There were no jet bridges at this airport, so boarding includes a short tarmac walk to the aircraft.
